This project is finally on the street. It was started three years ago and only after welding up the frame did I discover that none of the cranks in my parts buckets would work for the left hand stoker’s position. In frustration, I abandoned the frame until this year when I was determined to clear away some of the excess bikes and frames and parts that have accumulated in the bike shed. It was the right time, and voila! a new tandem bike is born, painted with the left over colours from previous projects.
This is the way it all began, with parts from several donor frames.
I liked the parallel flow when the bracing was added.
Here it is after the paint job. Now to talk my stoker into some test rides!
